Does anyone know why CO's 757-200 series have winglets while their 757-300 seires do not?

Winglets on 753s won't come quickly because(I'm guessing): 1. Investment in certifying them for 753 Only about 5% of all 757s(1,050units) ever produced are 753s. Guess what the mkt potential/priority of winglets for 753 will be like for their developers.... 2. Net efficiency gain from winglets on most routes flown by 753s is much smaller than 752s Winglets add aero-efficiency only during cruise(For details, pls see my last thread on Winglets). In other phases of flight, they mostly just add weight(i.e. More fuel burn) and don't forget the cost of the winglets themselves. Most 753s are used on higher frequency, shorter-range trunk routes whereas e.g. many 752s fly U.S. transcontinental and transatlantic routes with less take-off/landing cycles per day.
