The Boeing Company Delayed the Dreamliner's delivery schedule up to two years, several Airlines had been told officially about this production late problem, Air Canada who's ordered 37 units of this aircraft would receives their first Boeing 787 around January 2012, which's means 24-30 months late from the early schedule. Actually the First B787 'Dreamliner' must entered the commercial services by All Nippoon Airways as it's launch customer since May 2008.

Actually, NH(All Nippon) placed their 50units firm order and became launch customer of the program back in Apr04, not May08. Delivery to NH of the 1st production unit is now scheduled for 09Q3, about 15mths late. An even bigger problem facing NH is that Boeing still can't set a delivery date for the 783 variant which represents 60% of NH's order. In any case, the 783 won't come out before the 789 variant scheduled to debut in 2011/12. NH must be seriously pissed-off by Boeing..... The 24-30mths delivery delay for most other 787 customers is primarily due to the postponed 1st flight and extra time for flight test+cert(Originally planned to complete in a record 7mths!). Another main reason is the revised production rate which will be much slower than originally planned. While AC's order of 37units is big, QF must be most affected by the delay since they ordered AFTER AC did and their order of 65units is much much bigger......certainly Boeing can expect this big red angry kangaroo will hop NON-STOP all the way from Australia to bang on their factory door!
